Game History
Tetris is a classic puzzle game developed by Russian programmer Alexey Pajitnov in 1984 while working at the Soviet Academy of Sciences.
The name "Tetris" comes from the combination of the Greek word "tetra" (meaning "four") and the sport "tennis", because all the pieces in the game are made up of four small squares.
Since its creation in 1984, Tetris has become one of the most popular video games worldwide, being ported to almost every gaming platform, including home consoles, personal computers, and mobile devices.
Game Objective
The core objective of Tetris is to control falling pieces by rotating and moving them to form complete horizontal lines in the game area.

The game ends when pieces stack up to the top of the game area, making it impossible to place new pieces.

Piece Types
There are 7 different piece shapes in the game, each made up of 4 small squares:

- L-Piece: L shape
Scoring System
Tetris scoring is based on the number of lines cleared and consecutive clearing bonuses:
- 1 Line: 100 points
- 2 Lines: 300 points
- 3 Lines: 500 points
- 4 Lines: 800 points
Clearing multiple lines consecutively provides additional bonuses, such as "Tetris" (clearing 4 lines) and "T-Spin" advanced techniques.
Level System
As more lines are cleared, the game level increases, making pieces fall faster and increasing the challenge.
